Uzbekistani Kazakh Boxer Ruslan Abdullaev Signs with Golden Boy Promotions

Uzbekistani Kazakh boxer Ruslan Abdullaev has signed a contract with the renowned Golden Boy Promotions, led by Oscar De La Hoya. At 22 years old, Ruslan has had one professional fight, securing a victory. On March 7, he knocked out Jose Valenzuela Alvarado during a boxing event in Indio.

Competing in the 63.5 kg weight category, Ruslan is well-known among boxing enthusiasts. Born in Uzbekistan, the talented boxer once aimed to represent Kazakhstan and participated in the national youth championship. He reached the semifinals but lost to Sabyrzhan Akkhalikov, earning a bronze medal. Subsequently, he returned to Uzbekistan.

In 2021, Ruslan won the Uzbekistan championship and received the “Rufat Riskiev Cup” awarded to the best boxer. In 2022, he became the Asian champion, defeating Sanatali Toltayev in the round of 16 in Amman. In the final, he overcame India’s top boxer Shiva Thapa. In 2023, during the World Championship in Tashkent, Ruslan defeated all his opponents, earning the title of world champion.
