Nazym Kyzaibay Becomes Three-Time World Champion

Kazakhstani boxer Nazym Kyzaibay secured victory in the Women’s World Boxing Championship final, held in Nis, Serbia, claiming her third world title.

Competing in the 48 kg weight category, Kyzaibay faced Yulia Chumgalakova from Russia in the final bout and won by unanimous decision.

Previously, Nazym Kyzaibay won gold medals in the 2014 and 2016 World Championships. With this victory, she became the first-ever three-time world champion in Kazakhstan’s history, surpassing all previous records among both male and female boxers in the country.

Additionally, in 2024, Nazym Kyzaibay earned a bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games.
