Tennis in Mangystau is Rapidly Developing

The tennis center in Aktau has begun enrolling children aged 5 to 8 for tennis lessons. Initially, training sessions will be held twice a week free of charge.

The head of the Mangystau Region’s Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Maksat Mukash, stated that support for this sport will continue. He emphasized that this initiative will not only enhance the athletic potential of young people but will also play a key role in achieving new milestones in tennis. He expressed confidence that the regional administration’s systematic approach will attract even more children to the sport.

Lessons are conducted by qualified coaches, and the training facilities meet international standards. The courts are equipped with hard surfaces, commonly used in major global tournaments. All necessary conditions have been created to ensure that young athletes can train without any concerns.

Only children who pass a special selection process are admitted to the tennis section. The training is completely free, and results are already evident. According to coaches, top-performing athletes do not stop at their achievements but continue honing their skills and gaining experience.

It is worth noting that the tennis center’s athletes have repeatedly become prize winners in world championships. Among them is Beibit Zhukayev, who currently holds the 226th position in the ATP rankings. Previously, at a tournament in Astana, Aktau-based athlete Ailyn Dauletova won a gold medal.
