Alua Balkybekova Becomes World Champion

At the Women’s World Boxing Championship held in Nis, Serbia, Kazakhstani boxer Alua Balkybekova won the gold medal in the 50 kg weight category. In the final, she faced China’s Hu Meiyi and dominated all three rounds, securing a unanimous decision victory (5:0).​

This is Balkybekova’s first gold medal at the World Championships. Previously, she earned silver in 2022 and bronze in 2023. With this victory, Alua Balkybekova secured the second gold medal for Kazakhstan at this championship.
