Kazakh Taekwondo Athletes Win Two Medals on First Day of Tournament in China

The President’s Cup – Asia Region international taekwondo tournament has kicked off in Tai’an, China.

On the first day of competition, Team Kazakhstan secured two bronze medals. The medalists were:

• Batyrkhan Toleugali (under 80 kg)

• Aziza Karazhanova (under 53 kg)

Both athletes advanced to the semifinals. In their bids for a spot in the finals, Toleugali lost to Park Chunsan of South Korea, while Karazhanova was defeated by Mobina Nematzadeh of Iran.

Additionally, both Toleugali and Karazhanova earned qualification quotas for the 2026 Asian Championships.
