New Executive Committee of Kazakhstan’s NOC Approved

On April 23, 2025, the General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Kazakhstan convened and approved an updated composition of the Executive Committee. The assembly also introduced changes to the organization’s Charter and admitted new members.
The event was attended by NOC President Gennady Golovkin, Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports Serik Zharasbayev, NOC Secretary General Alimzhan Akayev, and representatives of national sports federations.
Gennady Golovkin expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts and support in implementing various projects.
Due to leadership changes in several sports organizations, the decision was made to restructure the Executive Committee for greater efficiency and engagement.

The General Assembly also approved the admission of the Kazakhstan Figure Skating Union as a full member of the NOC. Previously, figure skating was under the structure of the national Skating Union. In November 2023, the International Skating Union officially recognized the Kazakhstan Figure Skating Union as an independent federation.
Additionally, the Kazakhstan Luge Federation was removed from NOC membership due to inactivity.
Changes to the Charter aimed at improving operational performance were also approved.
