President of Kazakhstan’s NOC Meets with Head of Equestrian Federation

President of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, Gennady Golovkin, held a meeting with Rustam Bayaliyev, President of the Equestrian Federation of Kazakhstan.

The discussion focused on the development of equestrian sports in the country, particularly on preparing and supporting athletes for international competitions.

Key topics included infrastructure improvements, enhancing the training level of the national team, and increasing the popularity of equestrian sports among the public.

The two sides also explored the potential for joint initiatives aimed at promoting equestrian disciplines, strengthening Kazakhstan’s international reputation, and raising the status of Olympic sports.

Preparations of the national team for upcoming tournaments and plans to expand international cooperation were also reviewed.

“Thanks to the support of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kazakhstan successfully hosted the World Nomad Games. The Head of State emphasized the contribution of the Great Steppe nomads to world civilization, particularly their role in domesticating horses and developing horseback riding culture.

Equestrian sport in Kazakhstan is more than just a competition—it is part of our national heritage and a path toward integration on the international stage. Our goal is to strengthen the country’s sporting image, nurture young talents, and develop disciplines such as show jumping, eventing, and dressage,” said Rustam Bayaliyev.
